ACCESSIBILITY POLICY
Our Commitment
We are committed to providing accessible podiatry services for all patients wherever reasonably possible. We aim to ensure that our services are accessible, welcoming and inclusive, regardless of age, disability, health condition, communication needs or individual circumstances. We are committed to making reasonable adjustments in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 to help patients access our services and receive appropriate care.
Accessibility and Reasonable Adjustments
We recognise that every patient has different needs and we encourage patients to tell us about any accessibility requirements when booking an appointment. Where reasonably practicable, we may be able to provide adjustments such as:
-
Communication by telephone, email or letter
-
Additional time during appointments where appropriate
-
Support for patients with hearing, visual or communication difficulties
-
Flexible appointment arrangements where possible
-
Assistance for patients with mobility difficulties
-
Communication with carers, relatives or advocates where appropriate and authorised by the patient
-
Consideration of individual accessibility requirements on a case-by-case basis
Physical Access
Our clinics have ground floor treatment rooms, parking and accessible WC facilities. Accessibility arrangements may vary between locations. If you have any concerns regarding access, mobility, parking or other accessibility requirements, please contact us before your appointment and we will be happy to discuss the facilities available at the relevant clinic.
Communication Needs
We recognise that some patients may require information to be provided in different ways. Patients are encouraged to advise us of any communication preferences or accessibility requirements when arranging appointments. Where reasonably practicable, we will seek to accommodate individual communication needs and reasonable adjustment requests.
Website Accessibility
We aim to make our website accessible and easy to use for as many people as possible. If you have difficulty accessing any information on our website, please contact us and we will endeavour to provide the information in an alternative format where reasonably practicable.
Feedback
We welcome feedback regarding the accessibility of our services and website. If you experience any difficulty accessing our services, or if you have suggestions on how we can improve accessibility, please contact us.
